Kayak Taster Sessions – Moondogz
August 2 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Plymouth Sound National Marine Park is proud to collaborate with Moondogz!
Moondogz is a Mental Health Kayaking Support Group that provides a life jacket to help those suffering through mental health. They believe that there is nothing better for your mental health and wellbeing than being outdoors and physically active giving everybody a chance to relax, learn a new skill, meet like minded people, and perhaps open up.
We are offering free taster sessions to come and see what they’re all about! The first Saturday of July, August and September, there will be two sessions running, AM: 10:00- 12:00 and PM: 13:00 – 15:00.
Through they’re own lived experiences they have found how being outdoors, in, on or near the sea and surrounded by other like minded people has helped them. Whether you’ve never been in a kayak or in the sea before, Moondogz help guide you in a supportive, low pressure way and if you change your mind or need to go slowly, no problem! You can watch others from the shore with a cuppa! This is more than just paddling, but connecting with people and the outdoors in a time when you need support.
Kayaks, paddles and life jackets are all provided—you just need to bring swimwear and a sense of adventure. No previous experience is needed, and the Moondogz team will be there to guide and support you every step of the way.
Whether you’re seeking peace, connection, or just some time out on the water, this is a space for you. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email us!
