📣 𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗢𝗢𝗡 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘

Hurricane Nigel, low pressure systems in the Atlantic incoming, very high winds Sunday and on Wednesday this week (gusts predicted up to 66mph on Wednesday afternoon).

We are afraid that we will be grabbing the pontoons as and when we have a weather window.

Cattewater Harbour Commissioners will take them out one at a time, hopefully easing you into their winter storage time, but this is for the safety of the pontoons, but more importantly yourselves.

As soon as we know when they will be coming out, we will let you know, but just to give you a heads up, as much as we wanted to keep them in for as long as possible. Unfortunately the winds and swell have appeared as suddenly as autumn seems to have.

The water temperature is a balmy 16.5oC, not into cold water shock territory yet, but in the latest Plymouth Sound National Marine Park newsletter, out soon, we've written loads on staying safe whilst bobbing this autumn/winter, taking pressure off Plymouth Lifeboat Station.

We'll let you know as soon as the pontoons are coming out. But please remember if in doubt, don't go out.

Thank you
