Cyanotype Crafting Workshop – Wembury Marine Centre
February 19 @ 10:30 am – 1:00 pm

Make something beautiful and unique at Wembury Marine Centre using materials from the beach, whilst learning about local marine life.
If you’re looking to create something beautiful and unique either for yourself or as a gift to a loved one then come on down to Wembury Marine centre on 30th November where we will be making cyanotypes! Cyanotypes use the intricate shapes of seaweed and a little bit of chemistry to make beautiful pieces of artwork that you can take home with you. We’ll also be learning about the different types of seaweed you can find washed up on the strandline, as well as the history of cyanotypes.
Accessibility
The cyanotype making session will take place inside Wembury Marine Centre, which is wheelchair accessible. However, the practical session will take place on the beach, approx. 75m from the Centre (down a stepped-slope) which is not wheelchair accessible, but with prior notice, we can make reasonable adjustments.
Parking
Wembury Beach car park is owned by the National Trust and parking costs £3/2 hours or £6/day for non-members. Please bring correct change with you as cards are not accepted and there is very little signal to pay by phone.
