Ocean Hackathon 8

Ocean Hackathon is a global competition that sees teams tackling ocean-themed challenges and developing new ideas and prototypes to solve those issues using marine data. Plymouth has been chosen as one of 16 locations worldwide to host this year’s competition, which takes place from 17-19 November 2023 and will be hosted by the University of Plymouth and the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park. Supported by the Arts Institute and the Marine Institute.
For this non-stop, 48-hour event during, teams form around ocean challenges and develop a prototype based on marine data available from local, national and international providers. The event weekend culminates in the selection of the top local team, who will then compete at the Grand Finale in Brest, France in December 2023 and could win one of the prizes donated by the Ocean Hackathon Ambassadors.
