Seafest x PSNMP 2024 – Mount Batten

Plymouth Sound National Marine Park are partnering with Seafest this year to support additional activations and opportunities for people to engage with the water and marine activities around the waterfront. As part of this there are a series of activities taking place at Mount Batten.
Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre Taster Sessions – 14-15th September
Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre’s taster sessions are sure to make a splash for Seafest weekend. Come along and have a SUPer time with one of the NMP’s gateway partners.
Bounty Sailing Experience – Saturday 14th September – SOLD OUT
Join us for an unforgettable sailing adventure in Plymouth Sound National Marine Park!
Embark on a unique one-hour sailing journey aboard the Bounty, a stunning replica vessel from Channel 4’s “Mutiny”. Led by professional yachtsman Conrad Humphreys, this exclusive experience will take you through some of the most iconic landmarks in Plymouth Sound.
Explore the rich maritime heritage and breath-taking scenery of:
- Mayflower Steps: Trace the path of the Pilgrims.
- Plymouth Waterfront: Marvel at the vibrant coastal panorama.

Mount Batten Tower Open Day – Sunday 15th September 10am-3pm, Lawrence Road, Mount Batten
One of Plymouth’s key historic landmarks, the 17th Century Mount Batten Tower will be open to the public on Sunday 15th September as part of the Seafest weekend. Enjoy a free visit and learn more about the artillery fort that once protected the Plymouth Sound peninsula.

The expansion of Seafest x PSNMP has been made possible thanks a once in a lifetime transformational opportunity, Plymouth has been awarded £11.6 million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop the UK’s first National Marine Park.
