SOAK Lab | Day 2 – Mount Batten peninsula
June 21 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The second of three days of workshops in Plymouth exploring site-based performance practice in response to watery locations, bodies and ecologies.
Sarah Blissett and Kerry Priest will explore their collaborative and individual practice in relation to site-responsive performance, sound poetry and ritual. We will depart the Barbican by Ferry for Mount Batten where we will explore ways of moving, writing and responding to different sites around the Mount Batten peninsula, including the beach and breakwater. We will consider what human and more-than-human stories might be revealed by embodied encounters in these locations. We will pay particular attention to the language of seaweeds and other ecologies.
Anyone is welcome to join for one or all three days. If you have any access requirements or questions, please get in touch via email: soakliveart@gmail.com
