Spend the day on board a traditional tall ship sailing out of Plymouth and along the local coastline. Enthusiasm is the only skill required to join us, as our experienced and knowledgeable crew will teach how to hoist sails, take a turn at the helm… you can literally learn the ropes. If you’ve sailed before, it’d be a good opportunity to brush up your skills and have some fun.
The Island Trust is delighted to offer 3 summer day sails on our 96ft flagged topsail schooner, Johanna Lucretia. Head from Plymouth, through the Sound, to the beautiful Cornish bay of Cawsand (with the chance for a swim), before returning to our berth at Plymouth Yacht Haven late afternoon. A local guide will talk through the history of Plymouth’s port, harbour, Drake’s Island and more.

*Those attending the 13th July sail will also get to experience views of some of the racing at the Plymouth Yacht Regatta.
