World Cadet Championships 2024

This summer, the Mount Batten Centre will proudly host the Cadet World Championship in Plymouth Sound National Marine Park from 3rd to 10th August 2024. Plymouth, a historic naval town with a rich maritime heritage, will welcome teams from around the globe for this prestigious event.
Over a week of thrilling competition, young sailors aged seven to seventeen will strive for the title of world champion. The spring of 2024 will see intense national selection events, with the chosen sailors sending their prized cadet dinghies to the UK for the championship.
The event will feature over 200 sailors from distant shores such as Australia and Argentina, as well as European nations including Germany, Belgium, Poland, The Netherlands, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic. Previous championships took place in Belgium (2023) and Australia (2022).
The event will be hosted at the Mount Batten Centre by Plymouth Youth Sailing Club, offering spectacular views of Plymouth’s historic Barbican and the Hoe.
