Getting to Seafest

Whether you’re a local looking for ways to get between each Seafest location, or you’re heading in from out of town, here is all the information you need to help you get to Seafest!

Shark & Ride

Our Shark & Ride shuttle service (25P), operated by Plymouth Citybus, will be available throughout Seafest weekend. The circular service will run every 45 min collecting passengers from Royal Parade and dropping them at multiple stops between The Barbican, Hoe Waterfront and Royal William Yard.

Subsidised Ferry Services

Hop on one of the subsidised ferry services between Mount Batten and The Barbican or from The Barbican to Royal William Yard and Mount Edgcumbe.

Plymouth Boat Trips are offering a 50% discount on their Barbican – Royal William Yard – Mount Edgcumbe service (only) throughout Seafest weekend*.

Mount Batten Ferry are offering 50% off adult tickets throughout Seafest weekend*.

*Discounted ferry tickets are non-bookable and subject to availability and set services as described above.

By Train

Travel with GWR to Plymouth train station which is right in the centre of the city, a short walk from Royal Parade, where you can hop on the Shark & Ride.

By Car

If you’re travelling to us by car, join the A38 Devon Expressway, take the Marsh Mills exit and follow signs for the city centre where there are more than 20 car parks sign posted.

Road closures

The Parade / Basket Ope (from the junction at Vauxhall Street) – from 7am on Thursday 12 September to 2pm on Monday 16 September.

Southside Street (from the junction of Notte Street to the junction of Lambhay Hill) – from 9.30am to 5.30pm on both Sat 14 and Sun 15 September

By Bike

Why not use Beryl Bikes, they are a fun and convenient way to travel across the city, with many pick up and drop off points conveniently located.

Take a ride along Plymouth’s stunning Waterfront on the National Cycle Network routes 2 and 27 to reach the Barbican and Sutton Harbour.
