Ernesettle Creek Winter Waders Bird Walk
December 19 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Join the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park Coastal Rangers for a gentle walk along the banks of Ernesettle Creek (Tamerton Lake). This is a beautiful spot just on the edge of Plymouth and a haven for wildlife.
Throughout the walk we will be looking for various birds that call the creek home, particularly for wading birds that are more commonly seen in winter. Sightings may include: Curlew, Dunlin, Redshank, Greenshank, Little Egret, as well as various wildfowl and woodland birds. It will also be a great opportunity to talk to the ranger team about the UK’s first National Marine Park and what opportunities are available to the area.
