Fill The Gaps – Be A Citizen Scientist – Talk
January 18 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
The Wembury Marine Conservation Area Advisory Group is hosting talks on citizen science projects on January 18th, 1930-2100 at the Knighton Room, Wembury Village Hall.
When visiting Wembury Beach, spot the CoastSnap camera mount and sign. Share photos from your smartphone to aid in understanding coastal changes linked to weather, tides, and storms.
Your contributions will assist in managing beach environments and will be valuable for communities, organizations, and local authorities.
Additionally, take pictures of local flora and fauna, uploading them to iNaturalist within the Wembury Marine Conservation Area for wider accessibility.
Joseff Saunders will discuss the CoastSnap project, while John Hepburn will cover the iNaturalist project and other citizen science opportunities.
Tickets cost £3.00 for adults, free for under 17s. Contact John Hepburn at mewstone.enterprises@gmail.com for more information.
