Climavore Picnic with Cooking Sections

12th November 2022 @ 11:00 am 12:30 pm

Participants are welcomed to a community picnic hosted by artist duo Cooking Sections. The event will involve a discussion on the benefits of regenerative farming and the history of the Tamar Valley as an important site of historic food production.

CLIMAVORE is a new form of eating that responds to human alterations to the planet’s climate. Following its principles, this picnic invites guests to taste the delicious treats that riverbanks and saltmarshes have to offer.

This event is part of British Art Show 9 in partnership with Take A Part, Hayward Gallery Touring and supported by Arts Council England.

Note: This is a free event with lunch provided. Participants are asked to make any food allergies known to a member of the team on arrival.

This is the Lynher Tamar River barge. It was built in 1896 and underwent a restoration in 1990s. Now it is used for education workshops and sailing experiences around #PSNMP and the River Tamar.
