Ernesettle Creek

About

Join the National Marine Park Coastal Ranger Team for a gentle stroll along the banks of Ernesettle Creek looking for various birds that call the creek home, and particularly for some of the winter visitors that migrate to this area to feed and roost.

This is a beautiful area recognised and protected for the types of bird species that live and breed in the coast and wetlands (Little Egret/ Avocet). The extensive mudflats and saltmarsh communities present in these areas are important feeding and roosting grounds for both species as well as other waders and wildfowl. Sightings may include: Curlew, Dunlin, Redshank, Greenshank, Little Egret, as well as various wildfowl and woodland birds. It will also be a great opportunity to talk to the ranger team about the National Marine Park and what opportunities are available to the area.

What to bring:
Warm clothing,
Waterproof Jacket,
Suitable footwear (the path could be wet and muddy),
A drink or a snack,
