Project MUFFIN
Marine Underwater Fish For Inclusion
Learn a sign for a Native Marine Animal
Plymouth Sound National Marine Park teamed up with the University of Edinburgh’s BSL Glossary Project to open up our “park in the sea” to even more people. Together, we supported the launch of Project MUFFIN – Marine Underwater Fish For Inclusion – so marine science and environmental action are easier to access and enjoy for Deaf communities.
The BSL Glossary Project, hosted by the Scottish Sensory Centre and supported by Erasmus+ and international partners, created thousands of British Sign Language signs for STEM subjects and then dived into the world of marine life, with new signs for the wildlife that calls Plymouth Sound home.
