Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest (PSDCF) are leading the ‘Forest Rising’ programme. Empowering ages 16 -28 in an ambitious project that will see thousands of new trees planted in South and West Devon over the next few years.

“We plan on bringing trees and people together to create healthy, inspiring, resilient places for humans and nature to live side-by-side.” says the collective team of PSDCF.

This project not only provides brilliant benefits for our lands, but our surrounding waters too! As trees grow their roots hold the soil beneath them creating stronger earth. This makes the soil harder to shift in wet weather meaning less run-off into the sea. Greener spaces and cleaner sea for us to explore, doesn’t it sound great?

This programme is completely free to join and offers a platform for younger people to learn skills, get involved in local action and have influence on the creation and preservation of Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest.
